Day 1 - Welcome to Srinagar - City Tour
On arrival at Srinagar Airport, your representative will meet you and transfer you to a luxurious hotel near Srinagar city centre. The beautiful city of Srinagar tells a story of romance that emanates from the glorious landmarks built in Mughal architectural style. Freshen up at the hotel and embark upon a wonderful city tour. Visit the historical Mughal Gardens built by the famous Mughal Emperor Jahangir - the Shalimar Garden, Nishat Garden and the Chashme Shahi Garden. All the gardens are situated on the banks of Dal Lake, with the gorgeous Zabarwan Mountain at the backdrop. Later in the evening, visit the centuries-old Shankaracharaya Temple situated on the majestic Mount Suleiman. Then, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 - Srinagar - Sonmarg (80 km, 3 hrs)
Escape into the sublime beauty of Sonmarg on this day. Going through the pastures of Ganderbal, make a visit to Kangan, one of the prettiest regions in the area that lures you with its beautiful landscapes and vibrant colors. En-route to Sonamarg, you will pass by another spectacular facet of Kashmir's countryside. On arriving in Sonmarg by noon, enjoy a sightseeing tour to the stunning Thajiwas Glacier or to other sightseeing points (on direct payment basis), where you can find snow almost all round the year. Explore the breathtaking valleys and behold the beautiful Sindh River along with views of snow-clad mountains. Return to Srinagar in the evening and stay overnight.
Day 3 - Srinagar - Pahalgam (90 km, 3 hrs)
On this day, travel from Srinagar to Pahalgam to discover its unparalleled beauty. Enjoy a splendid drive along beautiful gushing streams and views of quaint villages on the slopes of enchanting mountains. En-route, you will get an opportunity to visit the Saffron fields, Avantipora Ruins and Anantnag Sulphur Springs. Explore the countryside in Pahalgam and take a stroll through the calm forests, along the Lidder River. In the noon, embark on an excursion to the Betaab Valley, Chandanwadi and Aru Valley or to Baisaran (known as Mini Switzerland), on a direct payment basis. Then rest the night away in Pahalgam.
Day 4 - Pahalgam - Gulmarg (140 km, 4 hrs)
After enjoying a delightful breakfast at the hotel, proceed towards Gulmarg for a two-day tour. Enjoy the scenic drive passing through beautiful towns and villages of Kunzar, Magam and Tangmarg. Take leisurely walks on the lush green meadows in Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) that mesmerizes you with breathtaking vistas of snow-capped mountains. Do not miss exciting activities like a pony ride along the scenic meadows or the Gondola ride (world's highest ropeway) to Khilanmarg and Apharwat at your own cost. There are many more adventure activities like skiing, horse riding, snow sledging, ATV motor-biking, snow scooters, snow mobiles etc. (snow activities in winter only). Finally, get a good night's rest back in Gulmarg. Please note - Chained vehicle is not included from Tangmarg (12kms ahead of Gulmarg) in case road is blocked by Snow
Day 5 - Houseboat Stay - A Floating Wooden Palace with a Shikara ride on Dal Lake/Nageen Lake
Wake up to a pleasant morning in Gulmarg and spend some leisurely time. In the noon, get transferred to a houseboat in Srinagar. Check-in at the houseboat on the serene Dal Lake/Nageen lake that takes you to a whole new world of bliss and serenity. Enjoy a wonderful Shikara boat ride on the scenic Dal Lake/Nageen Lake, as you witness a multi-hued sunset over the horizon. After the beautiful ride, you may take a stroll on the roadside boulevard by the lake and indulge in shopping/eating at the numerous shops and eateries. End the day with a pleasant sleep back in the houseboat.
Day 6 - Landscapes Remembered; Departure
After a typical breakfast, you will ll be taken by private car to Srinagar's airport, ready to return home. After such an incredible trip from history to culture to nature, don't be surprised if you find yourself not convinced to make it to your flight in time.
